A letter to Harbor Sweets customers

First and foremost, we hope you and your family are well and taking all the necessary precautions to protect yourselves during these challenging times. We value you and the trust you have put in us over the years to help you celebrate life's special occasions with your family, friends and associates. Because of your continued patronage, we have been able to continue offering Harbor Sweets chocolates online and through limited curbside pick-up in our Salem location. We are grateful for your support.

As we learn to live with a new normal, we continue to monitor and adapt our business. The safety of our employees, customers and suppliers is our top priority. Because we are a food business we are deemed an essential business but elected to retain the smallest workforce possible to limit exposure for our employees and help flatten the curve.

Our employees always wear gloves in manufacturing and are now also wearing face masks. We have increased our cleaning and sanitizing practices in accordance with FDA recommendations. Our continued operation was approved by the board of health and we are practicing social distancing within the factory. We have been working under the guidance provided by the FDA, CDC and WHO.

We look forward to continuing to supply all your chocolate needs and re-opening our stores when it is deemed safe and responsible to do so.
